Atop Mt. Mansfield, Stowe, VT

Before I began to ski, I rode the chair lift up Mt. Mansfield at the Stowe ski center in Vermont. Everyone else was carrying skis and poles; I brought my 4x5 camera and tripod. I found this scene, looking toward the top of the mountain, from the porch behind the lodge at the top of the lift. I love the way the light plays off of the snow-covered trees.
